The change of the seasons makes me FALL in love with decorating my house!
In our house when it comes to decorating, less is more. I cannot stand clutter so when I see decorations from head to toe in people’s houses, I have a cringe-worthy moment.
The same less is more philosophy goes for outdoor decorating as well. What I don’t love about any new season is all the tacky decorations that come along with it! Am I the only one who secretly wants to take a knife to all those blow-up lawn decorations? I’m sorry for offending all you inflatable decoration loving people out there…it’s just not my jam!
You do not have to go crazy spending all kinds of money decorating for each holiday. I’m all about decorating on a budget. If I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll attempt a DIY décor project. For all those busy gals out there, praise the Lord for Amazon, Target, and Home Goods!
I try to focus on two to three bigger areas of our house…usually our front porch, fireplace, and sometimes our living room. I make little changes throughout our house by swapping out pillows, seasonal candles, and our dining room tablescape.
